Behavioral Healthcare Technician

Department: Acute Care Services
Location: 6075 Bathey Lane (formerly Golden Gate Parkway), Naples
Description: Individuals in this position provide direct care to clients admitted for detox or under the Baker Act. Duties include but are not limited to assisting with group and recreational activities, processing admissions and discharges, ensuring client/staff and milieu safety, client transport. This position is an excellent opportunity for psychology (or related) or psych nursing students to gain clinical experience while completing studies. A variety of scheduling options are available. Students selected for this position must be able to commit to the intensive training required.
Qualifications: HS/GED and minimum two years employment history required. Previous experience in behavioral healthcare, group home or similar preferred. A current Florida driver’s license and clean driving record are required as client transport is an essential function of the position. Must possess excellent teamwork skills.




Clinician I/Mental Health Court Outreach Specialist

Department: Mental Health Services
Location: 239 Airport Road S, Naples
Description: The Outreach Specialist is responsible for linkage, coordination and monitoring of services to adults with mental illness involved in the Collier County Mental Health Court Program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to direct service, assessment of client needs, making referrals and linkage to community resources, based upon the individual’s current needs. Additional responsibilities include frequent home visits in order to monitor compliance with goals of the individualized intervention plan and documentation of the individual’s progress toward successful attainment of intervention plan goals. In addition, the Outreach Specialist may conduct screenings for eligibility for the program in the local jails and in the community as well as attend court hearings.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in clinical psychology, social work or related. Additional requirements: Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record and minimum intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills. Bilingual desired but not required.




Food Services Technician (Cook)/Part-Time

Department: DLC Kitchen/Child's Path
Location: 6075 Bathey Lane (formerly Golden Gate Parkway), Naples
Description: This is a 20-hour per week position providing support to the culinary team. This position is primarily responsible for preparation, boxing and delivery of planned menu meals to children and staff of the Child's Path pre-school. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with meal preparation, hands-on cooking, inventory control, meal transport and kitchen cleanliness.
Qualifications: HS/GED and experience in the food service business, with residential food service a plus. Must have the ability to follow and understand verbal and written instructions and recipes. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend and withstand repetitive hand or arm motions for long periods of time, and have the ability to lift 40 lbs or more. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record required.




RN

Department: Acute Care Services and Emergency Services (ER)
Location: 6075 Bathey Lane (formerly Golden Gate Parkway), Naples
Description: Two positions available for dedicated and professional Registered Nurses to provide skilled nursing services to clients being triaged for, or in residence at Detox or Crisis Stabilization Units.
Qualifications: Must hold a current Florida RN license in good standing. Previous psychiatric experience strongly preferred. Acute Care Services schedule: 8A to 8P, days to be determined ER schedule: Noon to 8P, days to be determined




Support Specialist II/Part-Time

Department: Employee Assistance Services
Location: 3400 Tamiami Trail N, Suite 204, Naples
Description: The individual in this position will provide reception and clerical support at the Employee Assistance Services Department. Duties include but are not limited to verifying insurance authorizations, monetary transactions, client intake, chart maintenance, scheduling, etc. Additional responsibilities included support to the Program Director with preparing marketing and sales materials. This is a part-time 24-hour/week position. Schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications: HS/GED and minimum two years experience in a busy office setting, health care strongly preferred. Minimum intermediate-level MS Office skills with a focus on Excel, the ability to easily learn new software applications, and experience with multi-line phones required. Knowledge and experience with HIPAA very helpful. The desired individual will be very tactful and discreet as client confidentiality is of the utmost importance, and will demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills. Bilingual a strong plus.




Support Specialist III

Department: Acute Care Services
Location: 6075 Bathey Lane (formerly Golden Gate Parkway), Naples
Description: The individual in this position will provide administrative support in managing all aspects of clients and their caregivers who are admitted to the Crisis Stabilization Unit and Detox. Responsibilities include but are not limited to answering phones, data entry and insurance verification. A key responsibility is ensuring the pre-certification and recertification information entered by other staff is complete and correct. Hourse are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
Qualifications: HS/GED and minimum two years experience MEDICAL office experience. HIPAA medical terminology knowledge required. Minimum intermediate-level MS Office skills required. The person in this position will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high degree of attention to detail. Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills with tact and discretion. Must demonstrate the ability to multi-task, be self-motivated, with independent judgment capabilities. Bi-Lingual Spanish required.




Support Specialist III/Intake Specialist

Department: Outpatient Services
Location: 6075 Bathey Lane (formerly Golden Gate Parkway), Naples
Description: The individual in this position will provide direct client service by obtaining demographic information, conducting financial assessments and insurance verification, data entry and referrals. Previous experience in a busy medical office and knowledge of insurance verfication, authorization, certification and billing functions strongly desired.
Qualifications: HS/GED and 3-5 years related experience or one year experience with formalized training. Minimum intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills required. Bi-lingual Spanish/English required. The individual in this position will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, accurate data entry, and resourcefulness and independent judgment.




VOLUNTEER: Guardian Advocate

Department: Acute Care Services
Location: 6075 Bathey Lane (formerly Golden Gate Parkway), Naples
Description: A Guardian Advocate is the informed decision maker for a person who has been found by the court to be incompetent to consent to his or her own mental health treatment. Guardian Advocates are court appointed and receive formal training. All qualified candidates that complete the training program will be included in the Center's Baker Act Volunteer program coordinated by the Baker Act Coordinator.
Qualifications: A Guardian Advocate must be a competent adult who has not been: convicted of a felony; found to be incapable due to incapacity or illness, of discharging the duties; otherwise found to be unsuitable to perform the duties of a guardian; judicially determined to have committed abuse, abandonment, or neglect against a child, or found guilty or entered a plea of nolo contendere to any offense prohibited in Florida Statute 435.03; providing sustantial services to the proposed ward in a professional or business capacity, or a creditor of the proposed ward. Individuals prohibited from serving in this capacity may not be referred to in the written Baker Act, an employee of David Lawrence Center, an employee of DCF, facility administrator, or LAC members. THIS IS AN UNPAID VOLUNTEER POSITION!




VOLUNTEER: Healthcare Proxy

Department: Acute Care Services
Location: 6075 Bathey Lane (formerly Golden Gate Parkway), Naples
Description: We are seeking discreet, compassionate adults to act as healthcare proxy to individuals residing at our Crisis Stabilization Unit in the absence of a healthcare surrogate. The individual will make all healthcare decisions, including mental health, based on decisions the client would have made if competent to do so by applying substitute judgment. Some of the responsibilities would be to apply for benefits, access to the person's clinical record, authorization to release information and clinical records, and authorization to transfer to another facility.
Qualifications: Individuals who may act as proxy are guardian, spouse, adult child, parent, adult sibling, adult relative, *close friend, or a *clinical social worker. *Close friend or Clinical Social Worker may require certain affidavits prior to performing duties of a proxy.
