Teen Survival Skills is a 12-week, group therapy program designed to help adolescents, ages 13 to 17, who struggle with coexisting mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and anger and substance abuse problems. This therapeutic program offers both mental health and substance abuse treatment and includes random drug testing. Each client will receive a comprehensive clinical assessment and an individualized treatment plan prior to the start of the program.
Teen Survival Skills covers topics such as:
- Learning impulse control
- Regulating emotions
- Becoming abstinent and maintaining
- Abstinence from drugs and alcohol
- Controlling anger
- Addressing faulty thought processes
- Coping with depression
- Developing stress management skills
Adolescents must meet certain clinical criteria to be entered into this group therapy program determined through a clinical assessment.
